The dunes in Hengchun Peninsula rank as the largest in Taiwan. They are very well kept. Apart from Wind-blown Sand (Fengchuisha), Jioupeng Desert at the east side would be the most directional. They are formed by the sturdy blowing of the northeast trades. The sands at the Jioupeng Desert are finely proportioned and the curves are beautifully formed.
