Planning began in 2003 for the Peace Memorial Park, which encompasses Strongholds 06, 08, and 12 and covers a total of 38.8 hectares. The completion of Stronghold 08 provided Taiwan's first prototype for such a park. Stronghold 08 focuses on the display of weapons, at the same time using space in an old barracks to exhibit military equipment to provide a battlefield atmosphere and give visitors a chance to experience Matsu's battleground sights personally.

- Take a ferry to Nangan Fu'ao Harbor, transfer a ferry to Beigan Baisha Harbor and transfer Beigan to Peace Memorial Park Route 221 (morning) or Beigan to Peace Memorial Park Route 222 (afternoon) to Peace Memorial Park stop.
- Take an airplane to Matzu Beigan Airport, transfer Lienchiang County Bus - Beigan Mountain Line to Hou'ao Village stop and walk for about 10 minutes to War and Peace Memorial Park Exhibition Center.
- Take a ferry to Nangan Fu'ao Harbor, transfer a ferry to Beigan Baisha Harbor, transfer Lienchiang County Bus - Beigan Mountain Line to Hou'ao Village stop and walk for about 10 minutes to War and Peace Memorial Park Exhibition Center.
