Yingge is known as a global pottery center, with pottery available in such abundance and variety that Yingge is a virtual”City of Pottery."
The “pottery old street” is positioned at the intersection of Zhongzheng Road and Jianshanpu Road, and pottery shops are also concentrated on Zhongzheng 1st Road and Zhongshan Road. The Yingge Ceramics Festival, held annually at the time of the summer vacation, shows off the abundance and the diversity of the area’s pottery through dynamic demonstrations, exhibitions, and multi-media introduction. Here, visitors can also try their own hand at turning out pottery “masterpieces.”
Besides visiting pottery shops, visitors of Yingge can also visit the richly ornamented Bilong Temple. They can also walk on the hiking path beside the temple which connects to Parrot Rock and Sunbin Temple, and enjoy the natural views of forests along the way.
The cultural center of Sanxia is next to to Yingge, the two towns separated by Sanying Bridge. Sanxia is known for its traditional culture and craftsmanship. Tourist sites here include Zushi Temple, Li Mei-Shu Memorial Hall, and White Chicken Art Village, all of which are filled with cultural artifacts. Zushi Temple is particularly famous for its meticulously executed engravings and complicated columns, which have won it the name of "Art Palace". Other sights to see in Sanxia include Sanxia Bridge, Shangdigong Temple, ancient tablets, memorial tablets, an ancient battlefield, the Old Street, old farmers' association building, and historical museum.
After touring the historic sites of Yingge and Sanxia, visitors can continue on to taste fish dishes at Shimen Reservoir and tour its scenic spots by boat. They can also go to Amuping by boat and have a barbecue meal before going on to a local theme park: Dragon Pearl Bay Holiday Centre, Fairyland, Window on China, and Leofoo Village.
