Yingge is known as a global center of pottery industry. It owns the name of "Taiwanese Jingde Township". The variety of pottery here are so plentiful which make Yingge to be the uniquely called the "City of Pottery".
The pottery old street is positioned in the intersection of Zhongzheng Rd. and Jianshanpu St.. Along within the old streets, the Zhongzheng 1st Rd. and Zhongshan Rd. are the commercial center of Yingge pottery shops as well as the old street. The shops sell and produce potteries together closely. During every summer vacation, the "Pottery Festival" displays the abundance and the diversity of pottery which is revealed through dynamic demonstration, exhibition, and multi-media introduction. Sometimes people can make the pottery by themselves and experience the pleasant.
Besides visiting pottery shops, visitors can also go to Bilong Temple and see the richly ornamented building. They can also walk on the hiking path beside the temple which is connected the eagle-like giant rock and Sun-bin Temple. Along the path one can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of the forest.
Sanxia is opposite to Yingge and these two cities are separated by the Sanying Bridge. Sanxia is highly valued in culture and has many traditional artisans. The scenery spots include Zushi Temple, Li Mei-Shu Memorial Hall, and White Chicken Art Village. The three spots are filled with private cultural artifacts. Zushi Temple wins the same "Art Palace" for the dedicated engravings and complicated columns. Zushi Temple, Sanxia Bridge, Shangdigong Temple, ancient tablets, memorial tablets, ancient battlefield, Old Street, old farmers' association building, and historical artifacts museum are also worthy of appreciation.
After visiting the ancient remains of Yingge and Sanxia , visitors can taste fish dishes at Shimen Reservoir, see the whole landscape of the reservoir, and take a ride of the boat. They can also go to Amuping by boat and have B.B.Q. The amusement areas nearby Dragon Pearl Bay Holiday Centre, Fairyland, Window of China, and Leofoo Village Amusement Park are worthy of visiting, too.
