Timber Pond > Nantou County > Tourism Administration, Republic of China (Taiwan)

The Timber Pond was used to store the logs which were chopped down from the mountains. By soaking the logs in the water, their life can be extended. Now you can walk on the trail around the pond and see the beautiful scenery, or sit beside it to enjoy the comforting breeze.

Nat'l Fwy 1 → Exit at the Changhua System Interchange → Nat'l Fwy 3 → Exit at the Mingjian Interchange → Prov. Hwy 3 → Prov. Hwy 16 → County Hwy 131

Public：

Take TRA to Ershui Station and transfer TRA Jiji Line to Checheng Station.
Take THSR (or TRA) to Taichung Station, transfer Sun Moon Lake Route 6670 to Sun Moon Lake stop and transfer Checheng Route 6671 to Checheng stop.
Take THSR (or TRA) to Taipei Station, transfer Kuo-Kuang Bus 1833 to Sun Moon Lake stop and transfer Checheng Route 6671 to Checheng stop.
