Located 12 km north of Taitung City, Shanyuan Beach is an excellent place for summer fun. This 1.5 km-long sandy beach is perfect for beach volleyball and making sand sculptures, and the coral reefs at the northern and southern ends of the beach are popular with divers. The clear waters off Shanyuan are also ideal for sailing, surfing, wind-surfing and swimming. Facilities include a wooded campground and outdoor restaurant area.

Air: From Taipei Airport fly to Taitung on UNI AIR or Mandarin Airlines. Taitung Airport
Train & Bus: Take a train to Taitung Railway Station, continue by Dingdong Bus (bound for Taiyuan, Chenggong, Changbin, Jingpu, Hualien) to Shanyuan.
