Dijiou Suspension Bridge is located on the north of Chukou Bridge. After crossing this bridge, walk up the stairs and you will find Tianchang Suspension Bridge which crosses Bazhang River Valley. Surrounded by green mountains and blue waters, Tianchang Suspension Bridge is especially impressive.

The two bridges were built in 1937, which is the 12th year of the Showa during the Japanese Occupation, in celebration of the birthdays of the emperor and his wife. Although visitors are many, only a few know why the bridges were built. People think that "tian chang di jiou" refers to "long-lasting love." This gives the bridges a romantic atmosphere.

Nat'l Fwy 3 → Exit at the Zhongpu Interchange → Prov. Hwy 18

Take THSR to Chiayi Station and transfer Alishan Route A 7329 (from THSR Chiayi Station) or Alishan Route A 7329A (from THSR Chiayi Station) (via Fenqihu) to Chukou stop.
Take TRA to Chiayi Station and transfer Alishan Route B 7322C (from TRA Chiayi Station) or Alishan Route B 7322D (from TRA Chiayi Station) (via Fenqihu) to Chukou stop.
Take TRA to Chiayi Station and transfer Chaiyi County Bus 7322, 7322A (via Fenqihu), Chaiyi Bus 7216 or 7216A to Chukou stop.

Public:

Take THSR to Chiayi Station and transfer Alishan Route A 7329 (from THSR Chiayi Station) or Alishan Route A 7329A (from THSR Chiayi Station) (via Fenqihu) (Some buses are low-floor) to Chukou stop.
Take TRA to Chiayi Station and transfer Alishan Route B 7322C (from TRA Chiayi Station) or Alishan Route B 7322D (from TRA Chiayi Station) (via Fenqihu) (Some buses are low-floor) to Chukou stop.
Take TRA to Chiayi Station and transfer Chaiyi County Bus 7322, 7322A (via Fenqihu), Chaiyi Bus 7216 or 7216A (Some buses are low-floor) to Chukou stop.
