In addition to its sugar products, the Hualien Tourism Sugar Factory (Guangfu Sugar Plant) is famous for producing more than 30 kinds of naturally flavored ice products. Many people who are traveling through the town of Guangfu stop here to enjoy a huge help of refreshing ice cream in a cool pavilion beside a pool filled with colorful koi carp. If you are hungry, you can have an appetizing and inexpensive buffet meal at the mill's restaurant.
