Opened in 1968, Chiayi Golf Country Club is the sixth oldest golf club in Taiwan. Situated at the border of Shuishang and Zhongpu in Chiayi, the course is a nine-hole layout which requires a double loop to make an 18-hole round. Chiayi Golf Country Club is designed to harmonize with primitive forests and the nature. It also features a skywalk, where golfers can admire the course from above. Playing golf here can enjoy both the sheer beauty of the valley and the fun of coping with the topography,

The toughest hole in the club is the right-doglegged 8th. A narrow, rolling fairway with dense forests on both sides makes it extremely difficult for a safe landing. The small green is firm and extremely fast. An excellent control of strength and direction is required to avoid the trouble of saving the ball around the green.
