From October 23 to 25, 2024, the Taiwan Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, together with the Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism and six domestic MICE industry partners, participated in ITB Asia in Singapore to actively promote Taiwan's business and MICE tourism. The Taiwan Pavilion, designed around the new tourism brand "Waves of Wonder," took inspiration from Taiwan’s diverse natural landscapes. Its sleek design highlighted Taiwan’s unique potential and charm as an international tourism destination, successfully attracting significant attention from global industry professionals.
During the three-day ITB Asia 2024 event, the Taiwan Pavilion hosted over 100 business meetings, with most buyers from the Asia-Pacific region. The pavilion’s design, inspired by Taiwan’s natural scenery, effectively showcased Taiwan as a top international travel destination, drawing in numerous visitors. In collaboration with the Taipei City Government, the Tourism Administration incorporated interactive technology games and Taiwanese snacks at the pavilion. Visitors were able to learn about Taiwanese culture through digital experiences and enjoy Taiwan’s signature cuisine and snacks, providing a fresh and immersive Taiwan experience for all attendees.
This year's ITB Asia theme, "Innovating for Tomorrow: Strengthening Future Resilience in Travel and Tourism," focused on how the global tourism industry can adapt to evolving consumer demands, enhance operational efficiency and develop sustainable tourism experiences. Throughout the event, Taiwan’s MICE environment and the government’s latest incentive policies were also presented, emphasizing Taiwan’s robust conference infrastructure, convenient transportation and diverse tourism resources, receiving high praise from international buyers, many of whom expressed interest in future collaborations.
Through this exhibition, Taiwan successfully enhanced international awareness of its MICE and tourism offerings, further strengthening its visibility and competitive advantage in the global market. Looking ahead, Taiwan remains committed to its goal of advancing international tourism development and increasing its influence within the global travel industry.
