Taiwan’s road system is extensive and well-maintained. Combined with magnificent scenery it is a wonderful place for cycling. The Taiwan Cycling Festival consists of a series of activities that combine the tourism and transportation resources of many locations. Taichung’s Mazu belief is unique. It is famous as the starting point for a 340-km pilgrimage carrying the Taoist goddess Mazu. Believers accompany the procession on foot. Combined with 12 century-old palaces and temples in Taichung City. Mazu beliefs and cultural activities of various regions are integrated, promoting Mazu culture to the international stage and attracting cultural pilgrims from around the world to experience the beauty of the folk beliefs.

The Taiwan International Festival of Arts (TIFA) is Taiwan’s most important annual art festival, and a leading art and cultural event in Asia.

The Yilan Green Expo integrates many cultural elements, including artistic performances, gardening, flower landscapes, and environmental education. Since it began in 2000, this event has attracted many visitors. It is a well-known event held every spring in Yilan County.

The are of Taoyuan near this playground has a “Golden Triangle” culture that has its origins in returning ROC soldiers who were stationed near the Yunnan/Burma border. The local delicacy "rice noodles" serves as a theme around which stories are told, and which helps showcase this locality’s culture through food, performances, and other activities.

A " Wedding Under the Sacred Tree in Alishan " involves much more than nuptials. It can also be paired with a second part “Wedding Under the Starry Sky” activity. Visitors can enjoy Alishan's beautiful scenery, its forestry railway, sacred trees, traditional Tsou culture and diverse local industries. These weddings are now known around the world.
