Small Mountain Town – Qingjing, Nantou County (Ren'ai Township)
Qingjing Farm is located in Datong Village, Ren'ai Township, Nantou County. Spanning over an area of 760 hectares, the Farm is situated at an altitude of 1,748m, amidst the mountains with a wide and vast view. With different seasons of the year, produces such as peaches, 20th Century pears, California plums, kiwi, mountain vegetables would be found at the Farm. Accompanied by flocks of sheep on the meadow and staying over at exquisite boutique hotels, visitors here would experience a European ambiance that is rare to be found in Taiwan. Hehuan Mountain that are further up above Qingjing settlement offers diverse tourism resources. In addition to the Lapland rosebay and snow seasons that always attract myriads of tourists every year, Hehuan Mountain is even more so one of the most popular mountains among 100 Peaks of Taiwan as loved by the hikers. The County government has also been continuously counseling local industries to launch starwatching tours and special merchandise, in the hope that Qingjing will become Taiwan’s one and only "Small Starry Sky Town".
Mona Rudao Memorial Park
Wushe is the political and economic center of Ren'ai Township, and it is also the starting point for nearby scenic area. Upon entering Wushe, visitors would first pass by Wushe Scenic Area Tickets Office (temporarily closed). After the Tickets Office, there is a gas station – it is best to fill up your gas tank here as no gas station will be available beyond this point. A memorial monument for Mona Rudao's resistance efforts against the Japanese can be found in Wushe. Cherry blossoms are grown surrounding the monument, giving magnificent views during late winter and early spring that is definitely worth a visit.
Qingjing Farm
Qingjing Farm was established on February 20th, 1961. The farm is for agricultural development, it located in Nantou County, the place of Central Cross-Island Highway's center horizontal road first line #14 near the north end place of 08 kilometer. It is the place you will pass when you are heading to Hehuanshan, the center horizontal highroad's organized body branch.
Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area
Aowanda is famous for maples. It is canyon in the west of the convergence of Danan River and Wanda River, which are the origin of Wushe Reservoir. Every autumn, maple leaves in Aowanda turn red and flutter in the air. Aowanda has different faces in different seasons. From February to September, tourists can enjoy the comfortable weather, the forests and the flowers. In May, there are many fireflies shining at night. Autumn and winter are the seasons to appreciate the beautiful maple leaves and plants. Aowanda is perfect for hiking, bird-watching, and contacting the nature.
