Situated near the Dakang Walking Trails, the Taichung International Country Club is the work of the renowned course designer David Thomas. In order to achieve a perfect design, Thomas conducted several topographic surveys at Dakang which included a comprehensive inspection of the land features, climate, and soil. The construction project was then carried out according to the data obtained. Additionally, Taichung International Country Club is playable year-round because the climate in central Taiwan is quite mild, preferably cooler than in the south and warmer than in the north. The combination of pleasant climate and convenient location makes it a paradise for a relaxing and exciting golf getaway.
The golf club is quite easily accessible because it is just about 20 minutes from downtown. It is also very convenient for golfers from northern and southern Taiwan thanks to its closeness to the national highways. The best part is that the golf club escapes from the hustle and bustle of the city without being far away from the lively downtown Taichung. Nestled among the quiet, secluded valleys, the course features a series of rolling and undulating fairways with fresh green grass, which make an ideal setting for a pleasant stroll. The tree-lined fairways and distant view of the layered mountains further create a cozy, agreeable atmosphere. The East, Central, and West courses offer three 9-hole tracks of different personalities. It is definitely a great place for those looking for diversity and fun.
