Nan Pao Golf Country Club was built with investment from Nan Pao Resins Group. It is quite convenient for a trip combining a round of golf on Nan Pao and sightseeing because the course is located near some famous scenic areas, such as Tsou Ma Lai Farm, Zengwen Dam, Wushantou Dam, and Guanziling Hot Spring. The 27-hole course consists of A, B, C sections surrounded by a stream which is nicely offset by mahogany, camphor and hoop pine trees. The par-3s featuring an island green are a great treat both of view and play.
The par-5, 608-yard first hole of Section B is the signature hole of Nan Pao. The most challenging part is a forced carry over a pond 60-yard in width in front of the tee. It looks very menacing when you address the ball. Moreover, another pond 50-yard in width lies on the fairway about 280 yards from the tee is ready to catch your missed shots. The final challenge to approach shots is the two bunkers around the green. The 3rd and 8th holes in Section A test golfers with water-surrounded island greens. You will be helplessly watching your ball swallowed by the water if you miss a shot.
