Built in 1884, Yusan Hall is a former residence of the largest local family—Chen's—in Yongjing Township. The Mindong-style building is a combination of Hakka and Minnan cultures of the late Qing Dynasty.
The hall still retains the original colored paintings and fine carvings today. In the center of the hall is the family's ancestral worship table. On the table's each side are eight "taishi" chairs and a wooden tablet. One tablet writes "qualified as an imperial scholar" and the other "endowed with the title of Gongyuan." It is easy to know that the house owner was a prestigious man in his days.
