Jiujiu Peak is a famous tourist spot in Nantou County. It is located on the north bank of the Wu River, with the peaks c clearly visible while driving along the Shuandong Section of  Prov. Hwy 14A. It is one of there major volcanoes in Taiwan together with the Huoyen Mountain in Sanyi and the Huoyen Mountain in Liugui. There is a camping site and the National Art Village planned by the CCA at the foot.

Nat'l Hwy 1 → Changhua System Interchange → Nat'l Hwy 3 → Wufeng System Interchange → Nat'l Hwy 6 → Exit at the Dongcaotun Interchange → Tou-6 Township Road → Tou-10 Township Road → Prov. Hwy 14

Take the THSR or train to Taichung Station, continue by Nantou Bus (bound for Puli) to Caotun stop.
