Gold Coast Golf Country Club is located in Shimen Township in the coastal region of north Taiwan. The golf course strictly meets the PGA’s standards thanks to the careful planning and design by Packard Ind. of the United States in association with former U.S. Open winner Andy North. Gold Coast Golf Country Club features an 18-hole, par-72 course which measures 7,012 yards and a practice range. Just a 40-kilometer drive will take you from downtown Taipei to the course, quite convenient and accessible.
Opened in 1992, the Gold Coast Golf Country Club is built over the cliffs facing the Pacific Ocean. Perhaps the closest to the coast of any golf courses in Taiwan, the layout boasts a trademark spectacular view which entertains golfers with the awe-inspiring beauty of the North Coast and allows them to admire the vast, magnificent Pacific Ocean and the surging waves below when playing the holes. Dramatic rolling fairways spreading on the naturally undulating terrain further bring challenge to the game. A ball devoured by the sea is very likely to happen when hitting the fairways facing the ocean.
Last but not least, Gold Coast Golf Country Club is the first golf course in Asia to obtain ISO-9009 certification, which not only ensures top services but also highlights its ambitious pursuit of international status.
