Opened 13 years ago at the end of 2003, Lung Tan Golf Club is perhaps the youngest golf course in Taiwan. Lung Tan is planned and designed by J. M. Poellot, a renowned master course designer in the United States with over 200 designs around the world. Implementing a Japanese management style, Lung Tan Golf Club wins high marks among golfers in Taiwan in terms of its great course maintenance, clubhouse amenities and service.
Lung Tan Golf Club is conveniently located just off Freeway 3, with only a five-minute drive from the Longtan Interchange to the course. Located on a terrain in Longtan, Taoyuan, the layout mainly consists of a gentle, flat surface with fairways showing not much elevation change. As a result, water plays a key role in this Poellet design. Respecting the principle of nature conservation, Poellet successfully blends his design with nature in this well-planned layout. It makes an unforgettable scenic view with the lakes and ponds of various sizes around the lush fairways, the dense trees and the beautiful layered clouds over the distant Shimen Mountain. Besides the beauty of nature, its strategically rich but not overly difficult playability further completes a wonderful golf experience.
