The Royal Kuan-Hsi Golf Club, an 18-hole championship layout covering an area of over 103 hectares, was built by J. Michael Poellot—one of the most popular course designers in the world. Poellot ingeniously incorporates his design with the richly diverse terrain and offers a challenging test of strategic golf. The 18 holes are creatively crafted, with each hole having a personality of its own. The rich, unpredictable elevation change of the greens makes putting game crucial for a good score.
The course presents a rich combination of colors and natural beauty which reflects the cycle of seasons. Around the Crescent Lake between the 9th and 18th are some exotic trees which flirt with golfers with their flickering reflections on the water. The white-marble cascading waterfalls further turn the property into a new paradise for a pleasant golf getaway. The clubhouse was planned and designed by the Takenaka Corporation. The walls are built of volcanic bricks imported from Mauritius and the furniture in the clubhouse consists of exquisitely-crafted rosewood items. NT$50 million has been invested in a hot-spring spa development project. The spa brings its guests an enjoyable experience, unique among golf clubs in Taiwan.
