Designed and planned by its chairman You Sen-xiong, the Suncity Golf & Country Club was developed in 1988 and opened in 1993. As the first licensed golf course in Hsinchu, Taiwan, the Suncity Golf & Country Club covers an area of 76 hectares, featuring a clubhouse constructed with sequoia wood and with more than 250,000 trees of various species. Each hole is separated and framed by specific tree species, similar to the Augusta National Golf Club. The result is a course of unique style and attractive features. As a golf course amid mountains and rivers, Suncity is a beauty in its own right and has won recognitions among golfers in Taiwan. Thanks to the surrounding mountains which block the northeast monsoon, there are few fogs and winds in winter and the weather conditions on the course are usually favorable. Full of Bali charm, the log clubhouse features elegant, exquisite design and decorations inside and out, complete with all kinds of amenities. The Life Health-Recreational Resort adjacent to the course further offers a variety of facilities and services, including lodging, catering, swimming, and spa, allowing golfers a relaxing, healthy getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.
