Ching Chuan Kang Golf Course is a historic layout affiliated to Taiwan’s Air Force. Built in 1970, Ching Chuan Kang boasts a history spanning about half a century; and the pine trees planted on both sides of the fairways have grown into vigorous towering timbers. These big pine trees not only provide cool shelter from the sun for golfers, but also add challenge to the physical and mental game. It is hard to stop the ball on the elevated greens and therefore a sound chipping technique is the key to a good score. The spacious fairways look simple yet not as easy as you may think. Due to a location near the airport, you will hear the noise of civil and military airplanes taking off or landing as you make a swing. The experience is impressive and unusual but certainly also a test of your concentration and patience. The course has a restaurant providing Taiwanese dishes and light meals on the second floor of its clubhouse, with flagship meals Schweinshaxe and. A practice range is available at the south of 1st tee for golfers to warm up before a round or hone their skills.
