Augusto Crown Golf Club (New Tamsui Golf Club) was completed in 1969. Situated in the western foothills of Datun Mountain with Tamsui River nearby and distant Guanyin Mountain across the river, the course offers a natural view that is simply unforgettable. Golfers playing the course can enjoy their game as well as the serene beauty along the bank of Tamsui River. It is easily accessible via Zhuwei MRT station and perhaps the nearest golf course in downtown Taipei.
Augusto Crown Golf Club was designed by Chen Chin-shih and Shiro Akaboshi, two respected names in golf in Taiwan and Japan. Although the layout is just 6,651 yards in length, the design perfectly echoes the undulating hilly slopes in Tamsui and offers dramatic elevation changes. Dense forests along the fairways and numerous OB’s further make the course one of the most challenging in Taiwan.
