The Nan Tou Golf & Country Club is located on Mt. Bagua in the Tri-mountain National Scenic Area. The golf club boasts a nice open view overlooking the surroundings thanks to its location on the plateau of Songboling Peak on Mt. Bagua, one of the most beautiful mountains in Taiwan. The peaks near and far compete with each other in beauty, and mountains such as Mt. Jiji, Mt. Jade, Mt. Xitou and even Mt. Hehuan are all visible from the course. How soothing and relaxing to soak up the spectacular view!
Nan Tou Golf & Country Club was originally a nine-hole layout designed by the “Father of Taiwan’s Golf,” Chen Chin-shih, in 1980; another nine were added to complete an 18-hole layout in 1982. The fairways are relatively narrow and are backdropped by the expansive surrounding scenery. Fairways are contoured by various tree species which look like thick fences. As the course sprawls in a corrie, it demands excellent control over distance and direction on each shot.
