Tainan Golf Country Club, established in 1976, is the first golf course in Tainan. The course is quite convenient because it is roughly ten kilometers from downtown Tainan. The course is also called Hsinhua Golf Course because it is located in Tainan’s Hsinhua District. Like most old golf courses in Taiwan, the layout features dense forests all over. More flowers are introduced and the fairways reshaped thanks to an elaborate renovation, and the effort is highly recognized.
Though the course is not long, the fairways are quite difficult because they are narrow and with a lot of twists and turns. Trees around many holes further make the second shot hard. Gorgeous views add much value to the play, such as the Hutoupi Reservoir beside the 14th, which is a famous long-standing sightseeing. There are also classic-style food shops and pavilions on the course. A view restaurant offering exquisite cuisine and coffee brings further fun to golfers during gatherings.
