There are two military golf courses in Taiwan. One is situated in the Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, and the other in Zuoying Naval Base. Built in 1962, the Zuoying Golf Course is built mainly for soldiers, their family and veterans. However, people with an access pass at the entrance can also enjoy the special experience of playing the 9-hole military golf course surrounded by coconut trees.
Zuoying Golf Course is one of the three golf courses in Taiwan built on public land. The layout has only nine holes. However, the dense forests and the arrangement of holes make the gold course challenging. The noted par-3 sixth runs 240 yards with a green of moderate size. Therefore, it is not easy to land a ball on the green with a driver.
