Linkou Golf Club, situated in suburban Taipei, was founded by the late tycoon and politician Wu San-lien in 1963 and has a history of over 50 years since its opening in 1965. Linkou International currently has 27 holes in three loops—East, West, and South—along with a practice range and a restaurant. The course sits on the mostly level terrain of Linkou Plateau near the gleaming Bali coastal area. Guanyin Mountain, Tamsui River mouth and Taipei Port are just part of the spectacular view from this course.
Similar to many old golf courses in Taiwan, the fairways in Linkou International are contoured by tall, lush trees. The vigorous and greenish plants offer a golf experience full of nature. The course is moderately challenging thanks to the fact that most of the fairways provide nice spacious landing area with little elevation changes. The well-maintained condition, tidy course routing, great clubhouse facilities and the convenient location make Linkou Golf Club a gem for golfers in northern Taiwan.
