Located about 500 meters north of Jiaoxi Railway Station, Jiaoxi Hot Springs Park is a leisure destination with tree-lined paths and the namesake springs for which Jiaoxi Township is known. The sodium bicarbonate springs, among only a few springs in the flatland areas of Taiwan, are rich in sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and carbonate ions. Soaking in the springs or drinking the (treated) mineral-rich water is said to be good for health. The visitor information center at the park provides Yilan travel information and assistance, helping visitors to enjoy a hot spring escape at any time of the year.
