The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum is in Kaohsiung City. Completed in 2011, it is a magnificent building that blends Indian and Chinese styles. It integrates collections, research, education, leisure, and tourism.

It has Asia's largest and tallest seated Buddha, the Fo Guang Buddha, as well as relics of the Buddha and a caisson painted with a design representing the emergence of great compassion.

Other attractions include the Sanhao Children's Museum, the Five Harmonies Pagoda, a botanical garden, and an area for enjoying tea. Admission to the museum is free, and it is a barrier-free facility dedicated to giving people confidence, joy, hope and convenience.
