The Cherry Blossom Trail in Sanzhi extends over a 70-km stretch of industrial roads. The route is lined on both sides with over 15,000 cherry trees, primarily of the indigenous Taiwan cherry variety. Known as the "Sanzhi early cherries," they are the first cherry trees to bloom in northern Taiwan. Activities are arranged here during the cherry blossom season. At that time, the mountains turn into a beautiful sea of red, white, and pink blooms, earning Sanzhi a place among Taiwan's most popular cherry blossom destinations.
