Shimen Kite Park is located in Shimen District near the Laomei Community. Established in 2006, the six-hectare park is the only kite park in Taiwan. It is also one of the best places in Southeast Asia for kite flying and a venue for international kite competitions. The park has earned Shimen a title as the "Land of Kites."
