The War and Peace Memorial Park Exhibition Center (abbreviated as War and Peace Center) is located in Beigan Township, Lienchiang County. It was planned and constructed by the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration and opened in 2010. In 2023, it underwent optimization and upgrades, and continues to serve visitors in roles such as national defense education and tourism recreation.
The War and Peace Center is themed around "Sleeping on Spears, Awaiting the Dawn," incorporating the lives of people under military administration into the exhibition. It recreates the historical scene of Matsu's overnight transformation from a fishing village to a battlefield and unveils the veil of military administration through the presentation of historical artifacts. With improvements in both software and hardware, the Center has been improved to tell stories from different perspectives.
The outdoor viewing platform offers a view of Matsu's seascape. Currently, there is no elevator, so wheelchair users are unable to access it. There are accessible restrooms and parking spaces available. The service desk provides a mobile phone charging area, wheelchair charging, and audio guide devices for borrowing.
