The largest navy veteran village preserved by the Kaohsiung City Government today, a cultural heritage site— Farewell, 886 - Cultural Park of Taiwan Military Veteran Village, marks the start of revitalization of veteran villages in Taiwan.
The cultural park is composed of four buildings. "Veteran Village Museum" tells stories of war and displacement. "Veteran Village Club" shows the art, culture and entertainment of veteran communities in Taiwan. "Veteran Village * Trends" introduces the changes of veteran villages after refurbishment. AR devices are installed here for visitors to compare the past and the present of the site. "Veteran Village Base" provides artists platforms of exchange. The artists are encouraged to share their creative ideas at the base, and the park's managerial team will hold workshops and performances from time to time.

Tuesday – Friday: 11:00~17:00 (last entry time at 16:30)
Saturday – Sunday and national holidays: 10:00~18:00 (last entry time at 17:30)

Transportation:From Provincial Highway 17, switch to Haigong Road. Turn left at Haifu Road. Drive on for 150 meters to arrive at the site.
Public:From THSR Zuoying Station / New Zuoying Train Station / KRT Zuoying Station, take Bus Red 53A at Zhanqian N. Road to Mingjian Neighborhood. Walk 3-5 minutes to arrive at the site.
