Bird lovers rejoice! There is a brand-new zoo in Nantou County with a focus on birds. In fact, it's the largest bird-focused zoo in Asia, with dozens of rare birds kept. The zoo has numerous aviaries and outdoor areas where visitors can get up close to a wide variety of birds, including large species such as ostrich, crane, and flamingo. Among the most popular birds are the brightly colored Scarlet Ibis, Western Crowned Pigeon, and Vulturine Guineafowl. Apart from the bird area, there is also Dinosaur Hill, featuring large dinosaur sculptures.

From Changhua to Taichung: Nat’l Freeway 6 [to Old Zheng Interchange], turn left [Bei'an Road Lane 36], turn right [Zhongzheng Road (Provincial Highway 3)], turn left [Yufu Road], turn left [Zhongzheng Road (Provincial Highway 14)]; Turn right [Fuding Road Sec 1]; Turn right [Fuping Bridge]
From Puli/Nantou: Nat’l Freeway 6 to Dongcaotun Interchange, take Yongan Road and then turn right on Zhongzheng Road (Provincial Highway 14) to Fuding Road Sec 1 and then go straight and turning right toward Fuping Bridge.
From Chiayi/Tainan: Nat’l Freeway 3 to the Zhongxing Xincun Interchange, turn right [Shengfu Road], turn left [Taiping Road Sec 1 (Provincial Highway 3)], turn right [Fulin Road Section 2], turn right [Fuding] Sec 1 (Rural Highway 14)] turn right toward Fuping Bridge.
From Yuanlin/Tianwei: Take Expressway 76 [Zhongxing System Exit] and go to Bixing Road Sec 1 (Provincial Highway 14); turn left onto Caoxi Road (Provincial Highway 3) and then turn right onto Fulin Road Sec 3 and then right toward Fuping Bridge.
