The National Museum of Taiwan Literature lies within the former Tainan Prefectural Government building, a national historic site built in 1916. It is a national-level museum focused on Taiwan literature. It was officially opened on October 17, 2003 to commemorate the founding date of the Taiwanese Cultural Association. It has several elements, including a library, art shop and dining area. This center of literature has several functions, such as proving a modern museum and preserving the cultural heritage of Taiwan.

Open Hours

Open: Tuesday to Sunday 09:00-18:00
Closed: Mondays (except most national holidays, and then closed the day after a long holiday), Lunar New Year's Eve and New Year’s Day. Also closed as directed by the government in cases such as natural disasters. The museum may close other days per announcements.
