The Chiayi Cultural & Creative Industries Park (CCCIP) is one of five cultural/creative industrial parks under the Ministry of Culture. Originally built in 1916, it was taken over by the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau after the Japanese colonial era ended in 1945. It was the first winery in Taiwan to produce sorghum wine, and became known as the "home of sorghum liquor.” In 1999, the factory was moved to Minxiong Township in Chiayi County. With the end of winery production, plans began to convert the facility into a cultural and creative park.
Today, the park has an immersive experience hall, DIY classrooms, a coffee shop, bookstore, and theater. It also is home to many artists. Visitors can enjoy art exhibits, markets, music festivals and other activities. It is a popular Chiayi City venue for many types of cultural activities. Tour guide services are also available.
