Situated in Neipu Township, Pingtung County, the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park officially opened on October 22, 2011. Located at the intersection of Neipu, Changzhi, and Linluo townships, the park covers an area of approximately 30 hectares. It is positioned with a core focus on showcasing Taiwanese Hakka culture and ordinary folk life experiences, while possessing functions for language and cultural inheritance, exhibition marketing, and leisure recreation.
The spatial planning comprises four major areas: the Natural Grassland Area, the Rural Landscape Area, the Umbrella Racks Hakka Settlement Area, and the Nine-Fragrance Garden Bogong Area. Starting from the natural landscape that symbolizes the pioneering spirit of the Liudui Hakka people, moving to the Rural Landscape Area that established farmland water conservancy, then to the umbrella rack settlement landscape that symbolizes unity and cooperation, and finally using modern architecture as a new starting point, the park utilizes a completely new interpretive perspective to depict the historical trajectory of the interaction between Liudui ancestors and the land. By connecting local community resources and collaborating with the local community, it preserves the cultural landscape of Liudui. Combining local exhibitions, light tours, cultural promotion activities, research investigations, and cultural heritage preservation, the park conveys the sustainable reproduction of Southern Hakka culture.
