During the development process of the Tainan Park of the Southern Taiwan Science Park, it was discovered that prehistoric cultures dating from approximately 5,000 to 300 years ago were buried locally, making it the most complete cluster of archaeological sites in terms of cultural stratigraphy in southwestern Taiwan.
The Museum of Archaeology, Tainan Branch was born to preserve and exhibit the excavated cultural relics rescued from these sites, and it has also become an important foundation for cultural heritage research in the southern region. The museum's exhibition halls include "5,000 Years of Nanke," "Aspects of Prehistoric Life," "Scientific Archaeology," and the "Children's Hall." Meanwhile, the "Museum's Secret Chambers" presents the preservation and maintenance work site of cultural relics, which is rarely seen by the public.
