Located within the Taijiang National Park, the Sicao Green Tunnel was an artificial canal used in the early days to transport livelihood materials such as salt and sugar. Along the banks of this 800-meter-long waterway is an abundant mangrove ecological landscape, where numerous organisms—including fiddler crabs, mudskippers, and great egrets—live and multiply. The dense mangroves interweave along the tunnel route; the "Angel's Kiss" and the "Eye of Green," formed by the reflections of tree trunks in the water, present a wonderland-like beauty rumored in legend, earning the site the nickname "Taiwan's Amazon River."
