Parliamentary historical materials serve as authentic records of the nation's democratic political development, as well as precious assets of national history and culture. To completely preserve and collect these materials, provide exhibitions for practical application, enable the public to understand the hard journey of Taiwan's democratic development, bolster democratic education, and enhance democratic literacy, the Legislative Yuan specially established the Assembly Affairs Museum in 2007 (the 96th year of the Republic of China).
The museum is located in Wufeng District, Taichung City, nestled against the mountains and beside the waters, featuring pleasant scenery with singing birds, fragrant flowers, and lush greenery. Currently, it has 7 exhibition areas: "Understanding the Legislative Yuan," "The Legislative Yuan in the New Century," "Parliamentary Diplomacy," "Special Exhibition on the 70th Anniversary of the Entry into Force of the San Francisco Peace Treaty," "Precious Historical Materials of the Legislative Yuan and Relics of Past Presidents," "Local Councils in Taiwan," and "Constitutional Historical Materials of the National Assembly," all open for public visits.
