Located at the Chuhuangkeng Oilfield along the banks of the Houlong River in Kaikuang Village, Gongguan Township, Miaoli County, the Taiwan Oil Field Exhibition Hall is affiliated with the Exploration and Production Business Division of CPC Corporation, Taiwan. It marks the earliest petroleum discovery site in Taiwan and is also the oldest producing oilfield still operating in the world. The exhibition hall features thematic display rooms containing crude oil specimens, exploration and drilling production data, oil and gas processing information, and marine exploration models. It detailedly documents the entire journey of petroleum mining from exploration and extraction to production completion, with precious historical documents, archival materials, and physical historic relics on display to chronicle the history and evolution of oil exploration in Taiwan.

  • Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00~16:00
  • Closed every Monday and during the Lunar New Year period (New Year's Eve through the 4th day of the Lunar New Year)
