The National Palace Museum houses the world's largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures, one which spans China's nearly 5,000-year history. Most of the museum's over 600,000 art objects were part of the Chinese imperial collection, which began over 1,000 years ago in the early Song dynasty.

  1. Nat'l Fwy 1 → Yuanshan Interchange → Binjiang St. → Dazhi Bridge → Beian Rd. → Ziqiang Tunnel → Gugong Rd. → Sec. 2, Zhishan Rd.
  2. Nat'l Fwy 1 → Taipei Interchange → Sec. 4, Chongqing N. Rd. → Bailing Bridge → Zhongzheng Rd. → Fuling Rd. → Sec. 1, Zhishan Rd. to Sec. 2, Zhishan Rd.
Public:
  1. Take THSR (or TRA) to Taipei Station, transfer Taipei MRT to Shilin Station, transfer Taipei City Bus Red 30 to National Palace Museum stop.
  2. Take the Taipei Sightseeing Bus Blue Route to the National Palace Museum stop. (Route Map)
