Lailai has the most well developed wave-cut platforms in the Northeast Coast. Its fish ecology is also highly diverse. With the vast wave-cut platforms, monoclinal ridges, and gravel beaches, Lailai becomes a paradise for fans of fishing. Large-scale seashore-fishing contests have been held here.

 

The strange rocks and other geological formations are awe-inspiring. The neat rows of black rocks are known far and near as “devil’s  washboard,” while Taiwan’s largest “Fire Dragon Rock” looks like a dragon diving into the sea - nothing can be seen but its ridge. These are all traces of orogenic movements. Please be reminded that winds and waves are strong in the winter.
