Located by Zhangmei Road, Changhua Sector Garage of the old Taiwan Railways is classified as a national heritage site. Built in 1922, the garage is characterized by a circular platform and 12 tracks that spread at 99 degrees like a fan. The only station of this shape in Taiwan, Changhua Sector Garage hosts locomotives at night after their long working day. The locomotives receive maintenance here, too. For these, the garage is nicknamed as the "hotel of locomotives." The century-old fan-shaped sector garage is a must-go for visitors in Changhua!
In this site, visitors can explore the circular platform and the tracks that make the famous sector garage, as well as the workings of trains. They may also overlook the garage from a viewing platform nearby. The view is awe-inspiring! The well-reserved old locomotives have made this place more historically and culturally meaningful.
