Hailed as the "paradise of hot springs" by the New York Times, Beitou boasts bountiful resources and a long history. A famous tourist destination, it includes Beitou hot springs, Yangmingshan National Park, and Guandu Scenic Area.
Beitou has grown into a big tourist hub because it can meet modern tourists' needs, including those interested in culture. Other than Beitou Hot Spring Museum, Beitou Museum, and Plum Garden, the many hot spring hotels, convenient MRT and its colorful hot spring trains, and Taiwan's first green-building library make Beitou a recommended place at Fox News and a three-star Michelin green attraction. Beitou is truly Taiwan's most unique tourist town.
