The 108m-tall Meilun Mountain is a major landmark in Hualien City. Its Zhongzheng Park overlooks the city center. There is a children's playground, a hiking path and a special area that displays old LDT103 locomotives in the park. There is even a seismometer room, although it is no longer in operations now.
