The Songbolun Nature Trail, which is near Wenwu Temple, reaches a length of 600 meters. On the left side near the entrance is a white memorial arch, and at the top of the steps above it is a bronze statue of the late President Chiang Kai-shek.
At the end of the trail is a two-storey observation pavilion, and beside the pavilion is a bronze sculpture of a carrying pole with two baskets. The sculpture is a favorite of photographers, but it also has historical significance. It is said that in early years when the Thao residents of Lalu Island went to the Puli to collect rent that this is also where they came ashore from the lake.
