The East Park is located beside the Magang Fishing Port in Gongliao District, New Taipei City, near Sandiaojiao and the easternmost point of Taiwan’s main island. It is one of the most popular coastal scenic destinations along the Northeast Coast, offering visitors a relaxing setting to enjoy the region’s spectacular ocean views and natural landscapes. Nestled between mountains and sea and facing the vast Pacific Ocean, the park showcases the distinctive coastal terrain and fishing-village atmosphere that define Taiwan’s Northeast Coast.

The observation deck, walking paths, and rest areas of the East Park provide excellent opportunities for leisurely strolls, sightseeing, and taking in views of the horizon where the sea meets the sky. On clear mornings, the park is also a favored location for watching the sunrise and enjoying the tranquil beauty of the ocean. The nearby Magang Fishing Village retains the charm of a traditional fishing settlement, allowing visitors to experience local fishing culture and observe everyday coastal life.

The East Park also serves as an important stop along the Northeast Coast touring route. Nearby attractions include the Sandiaojiao Lighthouse, Mao’ao Fishing Village, and Old Caoling Belt Bikeway, making the area ideal for cycling tours, coastal walks, and day trips. Together, these destinations showcase the unique blend of natural scenery and cultural heritage that makes Taiwan’s Northeast Coast a compelling travel destination.
