The Shuncheng Gate (at the end of Zhongshan Road) is used to be the "Little West Gate," being restored in 1986 and completed in May 1987. Magong ancient city during the Japanese rule was pull down inasmuch as the constructions of Magong harbor and the city developing program. As a result, only Shuncheng Gate, West Gate and a small part of the Wall nearby remained. Part of the Wall near the Shuncheng Gate has already combined with nearby community, and the Wall of the West Gate section is now the fence of the Penghu Military Department. The Gate is classified as relic, climbing up the Wall enables you to take in the view of the coastal scenery of Magong inner bay.
