Situated at the border of Kaohsiung and Pingtung, the Sun Wood Lake Golf Club is privileged with a superior geographic location. The favorable geographic conditions, which include a favorable fan-shaped terrain and a moderately elevated hill that is depressed at the center and bulged at the outer edge, are suitable for well-designed artificial lakes and natural streams. Sun Wood Lake, which covers a land of 126 hectares, has 27 holes, can be played in three 18-hole combinations, according to preference. It is the only golf club with three 7,000-yard courses in Taiwan.
The design of the course shows a creative ingenuity with the combination of a spacious American layout and a delicate, exquisite Japanese garden. The greens of average 800 square meters, the artificial lakes offer an elegant view, and the trickling streams all merge with nature. The par-3 12th is one of its signature holes. The island green surrounded by water is a test to the player’s distance control and stress resistance. In a nutshell, Sun Wood Lake is a golf resort that is both challenging and visually entertaining.
A clubhouse covering a land of 8,275m² at the top of the course has an unobstructed view of a panoramic vista of the course. The modern Asian style building, with unique cornices and a brick-colored appearance, merges with the beautiful mountains and clear streams. In addition, the Royal Garden Luxury Suites offer the most premium services and experience to the guests.
