Jiujiu Peak is a famous tourist spot in Nantou County. It is located on the north bank of the Wu River, with the peaks clearly visible while driving along the Shuandong Section of Prov. Hwy 14A. It is one of their major volcanoes in Taiwan together with the Huoyen Mountain in Sanyi and the Huoyen Mountain in Liugui. There is a camping site and the National Art Village planned by the CCA at the foot.

Transportation:Nat'l Fwy 1 → Exit at the Changhua System Interchange → Nat'l Fwy 3 → Exit at the Wufeng System Interchange → Nat'l Fwy 6 → Exit at the Dongcaotun Interchange → Township Road Tou 6 → Prov. Hwy 14
Public:Take THSR or TRA to Taichung Station, transfer Nantou Bus 6670 (bound for Sun Moon Lake) to Pinglin stop.
